Winning Competition

Borgos Pieper in collaboration with Gustafson Porter, Nova Ingenieria and Grupotec have been selected unanimously by the jury to design Valencia’s new Central Park.

The scheme transforms a total of 66 hectares in the middle of the city including adding a new 23hectare park over the former railway yards that will be buried to provide access to the new high speed rail link in the city. Eleven heritage buildings will be refurbished into cultural, educational and service venues within the park.
